The Humorous Speech Contest
was held on
Club participants were
Robert Isenberg, James Tau, Scott Humphries, Lee
Yates and Rich Levesque. All speakers
did a great job and made us laugh. It
was tough to decide a winner.
However, the judges (Joan Turnberg, Jeremy Szteiter, Joyce Matteson, Bill McGowan,
and Al Rowe) worked diligently to decide who would represent The Last Word
Toastmasters at the Area A4 Humorous Speech Contest to be held in two
weeks. The results are as follows:
Lee will represent The Last
Word Toastmasters on October 9. In the
event Lee cannot make the event, Scott will represent the club. All are welcome to attend the event and cheer
for Lee. GO LEE!!
Area A4 Humorous Speech Contest:
1st Floor Meeting Room
410 Broadway
A very big thank you goes
out to all the members who participated in this years
Humorous Speech Contest. It takes team
work to make these events run smoothly and as usual the members of The Last
Word Toasmasters came through. From the timers (M.J. Kahn, Leslie Pavia) to the counters (Jeff Orrik, Jean Cody) to the
judges (Joan, Jeremy, Joyce, Bill, Al) to the speakers (Robert, James, Scott,
Lee, Rich) and, of course, Marilyn who spent many hours making sure the event
ran smoothly. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

- Please include the speaker’s speech number and allotted time on the
agenda. Table Topics should finish at
Timer
– Be visible by sitting in the back row middle aisle. Keep card visible until speaker sees card.
Please
remember to call members who do not have e-mail when you have positions open on
the agenda. We tend to use the most
convenient method and just e-mail,
forgetting that not everyone who would like to participate has the luxury of a
computer or e-mail. It may seem a
necessity to many, but not everyone has access.
The most recent roster is available now.
